I am happy to tell you that my whole group thoroughly enjoyed your mystery dinner show. I was very pleased that my 2 tables were "picked on" and that they joined in the bantering with the actors and actresses. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening. It was very different from anything they had ever done before and they had a great time.
I will definitely do it again in the future.

Thank you Brian for contributing to the success of AARP's trip to Toronto to The Lion King and Mysteriously Yours... Although one of the entrees was substituted, the majority enjoyed it (me included). The beef was very tasty, tender, and done to perfection. Everyone is still talking about the chocolate devil's food cake with mocha buttercream and orange brandy creme anglais--delicious!
Brian keep me posted on future shows. We will return to Toronto at some point in 2001.
Continued success with the show

Dear Brian,
What can I say except "thanks" to you and the cast for making our "Reform School Reunion" a great success.
At the start I was really concerned and couldn't believe what was going on and I don't think I was the only one.
Well now that its all over I'm really in trouble. Everyone is asking what are we going to do next year to top this one?
This is the first year we have had a 100% turn out and some of our guests have already mentioned they passed on "Mysteriously Yours" as a recommendation for their own events.
Again thanks,

Dear Brian,
Just a short note to thank you and your troupe for an amazing evening on Monday. The Sunrise presentation was the final one our company did this fall, and it was great to go out with a bang. As you saw before leaving, their people were raving about everything.
The characters and the interplay between them and the audience was perfect. Best of all, Spbill didn't follow Pirot (sp?) home.
Again, it was a super night, and I hope we can work together again in the future.

Dear Brian,
On behalf of the staff here at A.T. Kearney, I would like to thank you for providing us with a wonderful murder mystery event on Thursday, November 25th, 1999 at the Founders Club.
The murder mystery was a huge success! The actors were superb, to say the least, and I heard nothing but rave reviews from my colleagues. I was amazed on how well the actors interacted with the guests and how extremely funny the whole experience was. My colleagues are still discussing Ginger's attributes!
Again, thank you for everything and all the best for the holiday season. I look forward to working with you again in the new year.
Sincerely,

Dear Brian,
I want to thank you for the wonderful performance of "Who Wants to Be a Dead Millionaire" at our office event this past fall. This is the second year in a row that we asked you to perform your show, and again, we were thoroughly pleased and delighted with the performers and the content of the show.
We were skeptical that your performance this year would be as funny and as fresh as it was in 1999… we were silly to doubt you!! The actors were wonderful and used the material that was provided beforehand very well. I would certainly recommend you to anyone looking to enjoy an evening of laughter and mystery.
Thank you again, and I look forward to doing business with you in 2001.
Sincerely, L.A

Dear Brian,
Thank you for helping make my customer event a success with your performance of "Welcome Home, Billy Ray!" (or: "Achy, Breaky, Murder!") I also appreciate the extra attention and planning of the event, provided by yourself, to help make the evening a success. In addition to outstanding acting, your cast did an excellent job of involving the audience and ensuring everyone had a good time. The feedback from all the customers who attended and my peers has been very positive. When we first planned this customer event, there were concerns as to how to bring some cohesiveness to a disparate group of customers, however, your cast quickly helped to dispel those fears. And, by the end of the evening, due to the wonderful interaction that was encouraged by your performance, all our customers felt at ease with one another and continued the party in the hotel bar.
Again, thank you for making AT & T's Customer Event a memorable evening and perpetuating the notion that AT & T throws a good party -- with your help, of course!
Sincerely,

Thank you for a wonderful evening our group had on may 13, 1999.
Here's what our group had to say about the show: "It's pretty awesome", "it's funtastic", "it's different from other shows I've been too", "it was great", "I never had so much fun", "I enjoyed the audience participation and the performers made us feel relaxed", "being a part of "The Y2K Files! - Millenium Factor!" Mystery Dinner Theatre was truly quite an experience", "great, great show".
I am sorry I wasn't able to make it myself due to a previous engagement. After hearing all the above comments, I wish I had. Need I say more? Well, given another oppertunity I sure won't miss it the second time.
Yours truly,P.S. Our group enjoyed the great food at the Royal York, too. Perfect place to have a perfect show!

If I said "thank you" one hundred times it would not express the gratitude I feel for your most outstanding performance this past Friday evening. Every travel agent in attendance was stunned by the evening.
Please express my gratitude to all involved.
You have truly "won-over" 20 new travel agents and we will most definitely support you!
Again, thank you!

Dear Brian,
I wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate you and your staff on a job well done! We really enjoyed the murder mystery you performed for us on September 12 at the Vaughan Estate. Everyone had a great time-I think they really enjoyed interacting with each other to try to figure out "whodunit". (Some even got emotional about it!)
Your preparation and attention to detail really showed.
I wish you and your group lots of success in the future.

On behalf of American Express Travel Group (Toronto: August 12), I would like to thank you for a most enjoyable evening with "Mysteriously Yours".
Please thank the actors, who should be commended for their great performance, that evening. We particularly appreciated the way you were able to put our office manager and supervisor under suspicion. This concept for a group dinner is something we shall surely recommend to our corporate clients, if ever the occasion presents itself.
Once again, thank you very much. We all had a very pleasant and entertaining evening.

Dear Brian,
Thank you for all your efforts in entertaining our delegates at the recent ASTA Eastern Regional Conference.
As you already know, our agents loved the show. Everyone thought it was very entertaining, as the evaluation cards certainly confirm. There is no doubt that you have impressed the right people. Our delegates are top travel professionals from the Eastern Region of the United States and one of the many enjoyable memories they have taken back from Toronto is the fun they had at your show.
Thank you again for everything. It was a pleasure working with you.

Dear Brian,
I would like to compliment your group on a very, very entertaining evening. They certainly had their work cut out for them this time.
Our staff and guests were right into the game and were more comfortable with the procedure since this was our second time around they understood more about clues, etc.
One of our part-timers made it extremely difficult by continually interrupting the main flow of things. However, your people (being professionals) carried on and made the best of her over-zealous participation.
The staff and Management congratulated me by email and in person on Monday for a fun evening, and I would like to pass their thanks on to your people for a great night. I would also like to add my apologies to Larry, and the crew for the aftermath of P.'s over-enthusiastic combination of White Wine and Boating knowledge.
Thanks again.

On behalf of the "Alumnae of Amram's Reform School", just a brief note to pass on unqualified praise for the special night you did for our National Sales Meeting on Saturday January 6th. I heard nothing but compliments and excited comments.
A very special commendation to your whole cast who we find extremely talented and who maintained an evening of uproarious laughter. We were especially pleased with the way in which they worked so hard to build the script around our people.
I speak for everyone when I say that it was a most enjoyable evening. I don't know if I'll be able to top this one.

Just had to thank you so much for the great table location at LaCage on Saturday, March 3, 1988. The food and show were absolutely incredible. Our waiter provided excellent service and we all ate, drank and laughed our way through a marvelous evening of top rate entertainment.
I must say that I was fortunate to find your agency. it is a pleasure doing business with you. A repeat of Saturday night is not unlikely, and I will surely be calling for a Mysteriously Yours package probably for the fall, 1988.

Dear Brian,
Our association all thoroughly enjoyed your murder mystery performance. It was an exciting evening filled with suspicion and intrigue. The actors are to be commended as they included all our guests in their spectacular performance. I was impressed that your actors were all able to personally select a Director and ridicule him in a very professional and tasteful manner. I found this to be one of the many highlights in your evening dialogue. This kind of event was somewhat different from our other Ladies Night functions in the past and since it was such a great success we look forward to planning another mysterious evening of murder in the future.

We were at the Old Mill Restaurant last week and went to the mystery dinner theatre "A Clue In The Castle".
Our group all enjoyed themselves thoroughly. It was most of the groups first time going to a murder mystery, so they didn't know quite what to expect. They made positive comments about the interaction between the actors and the audience. It was a great afternoon, thanks again.

Dear Brian,
Just a short note to thank you and the Mysteriously Yours group for another fine performance on October 22 at our 1996 National Tax Conference.
The performers did an excellent job in getting the audience involved. I particularly liked the idea of starting events at the reception and running it throughout the dinner. It just made the evening a lot shorter (the participants had already had a very long day-starting at 8:00am to 6:00pm).
Again, many thanks to you and the crew of Mysteriously Yours!!!

Thanks for the follow-up memo. It's nice to see that you just don't take the money and run.
I would like to thank you and your staff for such an outstanding job! It was a huge success with all those who attended. I can certainly say that we were all impressed with the professionalism displayed by your actors throughout the evening. They were able to play their parts with great enthusiasm and with high energy levels. It was most enjoyable in the way they incorporated personal touches throughout the evening. I never laughed so hard.
All the best to you and your staff. I can honestly sat that if the opportunity arises again, you will certainly be on my list.

Brian:
Quite often, I am pleased with the treatment or service that I receive from an organization, both as an individual or as an employee of Bell Canada. However, it is not often that I am so impressed with an organization that I take the time to send a letter listing the accolades that I have heard as a result of the services provided by a supplier. Here is that letter.
From the moment that your team walked into the "ship's" dining room, the energy level started to rise. It was fascinating to watch my co-workers interacting with your crew. The actors' ability to pick up on nuances and bring it into the play was very impressive (and very funny)! How the detective knew that our president had been doing the hula with the social director, I will never know. the feed back that I received ranged from terms like "one of the best murder mystery events that I have ever attended" to "the best going-away ever". I guess that is not a wide range, but at that end of the scale, it is hard to distinguish one superlative comment from another.
I am now worried that your team have set a standard that others will fear, and it may become more difficult to find volunteers to organize the next event.
One mandate of the Employee Developement Centre is to exceed customer expectations. I had expected a professional presentation, but your team's ability and your professionalism vastly exceeded OUR expectations. On behalf of the organizing team, my co-workers at Bell, and our honoured guests, it was a pleasure to have dealt with you and your company, and you can be assured that the term "word of mouth" was not lost on individuals that work for a communication company.
Best wishes,

Dear Brian,
Thank you for your letter of June 6, 1991. As anticipated, the choice of a murder mystery won rave reviews and was a total departure from our usually reserved dinners! Participants in the office were all talking about it the next day, expressing how much fun they had, and Tony Doyle is looking into getting onto the Law Clerk' Committee so he won't miss any future parties because he had so much fun at this one! (I still think Tony was Orville's father--did you notice the strong family resemblance?) You'll be pleased to know that I've already had a request from the Associate Lawyers' Entertainment Committee for information on your group, which I was very happy to pass along, and you may be getting a call from someone in that connection sometime in the future.
Again, Chris, Sylvia and I would like to thank you for making our evening such a success! The organizers next year will have a hard act to follow!

Dear Brian,
Let me start off by saying that Mysteriously Yours Inc. and its representatives are extremely professional and talented. The feedback from our Store Managers was full of excitement, enthusiasm, delight and praise. They were taken aback for a short period of time as the characters first mingled amongst the crowd but they soon caught onto the idea and participated with enthusiasm. Mysteriously Yours Inc. turned what has been in the past a very conservative and reserved occasion into a light-hearted and fun evening full of laughter and intrigue.
I would highly recommend other companies incorporate Mysteriously Yours Inc. into their next employee function (and I have already recommended various associates consider the idea.) I thank you and your "Casablanca" players for the effort you put forth in making our Awards Dinner such a memorable evening and I look forward to our paths crossing again in the near future.

Last week, our personnel group attended one of your murder mystery evenings at the Toronto Hilton Hotel.
I thought you might be interested to know that we had such a wonderful time, I have now written the attached article which will be included in a newsletter being sent to more than 100 law firms in Toronto later this month.
I hope this exposure will result in many others attending one of your presentations, and having as entertaining an evening as we did.
Your sincerely,

Personnel Manager
YOU'LL "DIE" LAUGHING
It was really all my secretary's idea.....
A couple a times each year, our personnel group goes out to dinner together, sometimes to one of our homes, other times, to a restaurant. It's a great way to keep in touch with each other, and to bring some perspective to our jobs (life is not all work!)
When we were trying to decide where to go in October, my secretary suggested that we try something different, such as participating in a "murder night". I had heard a little bit about these (so-called murders happening on trains, cruises, during weekends at various hotels, etc.) and as a long time mystery buff, I was both curious and tempted.
We contacted "Mysteriously Yours" and discovered that hree evenings each week, a "murder" takes place in a downtown hotel, and guests are invited to share in the fun.
I've always believed that the only way to overcome temptation is to give into it, so we signed up!
On the night of the "murder", we registered outside one of the hotel's meeting rooms, and nervously sipped cocktails, trying to work out which of the other guests around us were in fact actors. before too long, one of the so-called guests approached us and behaved as if we were long-lost friends, harking back to the "good old days", dredging up supposed memorable times we had shared. After confusing us totally, she moved on to another group of guests, and another person (apparently her husband) came up to us, crying on our shoulders about the marital difficulties he and his wife were apparently going through. This pattern continued, with several people joining us at different times, and talking to us as if we knew all about them.
From the various conversations, we finally pieced together that we were all at a supposed school reunion, brought together primarily because a new chemistry wing was about to be opened in the school.
We continued with our cocktails, mingled with other guests, and even sang our old "school song"! We tried desperately to glean whatever fragments of information we could from those guests who appeared to be actors, hoping that this would help us solve the murder that we knew was coming. (To our dismay, we later discovered that what appeared to be some wonderful clues were, in fact, simply red herrings.)
When the shool principal stepped up to the podium and began his speech opening the new chemistry wing, a dispute broke out between him and a disenchanted chemistry professor. As the vice-principal stepped in to prevent the professor physically attacking the pricipal, the latter lurched forward clutching his throat, and fell to the floor, seemingly dead.
A shocked murmur ran through the crowd, and we were quickly hustled into a nearby dining room, while "school authorities" sought emergency help for the principal.
Once we were seated in the dining room, a "Canadian Mountie" Dudley DoWrong (corny, but it worked!), entered the room and informed us that the principal had in fact been murdered.
We had been having a pretty good time up until that point, but the fun got even better from then on, as Dudley carried out his investigation.
In what was a cross between a polite Don Rickles and a humorous Joe Friday, he mercilessly interrogated various characters (there was an actor seated at each table) often involving the guests. There did not appear to be a formal script, as the dialogue seemed to be ad-libbed most of the time, although the actors never strayed from the original story line, and kept in character throughout. For instance, at our table, we were joined by the supposed wife of the principal - a dizzy, dipsy, doorknod of a woman, many years younger than her husband; how she managed to keep up her squeaky voice all night is beyond me!
Dudley has us all in stiches, as he continued his investigation while we sipped our soup. At one point, I was laughing so much, he admonished me by pointing out to all and sundry that I was "dripping bodily fliuds all over the table"!
Adding even more entertainment was a second "murder" which happened at our table, right under our noses, between cources!
Before we began dessert, we were each given the oppertunity of writing down the name of the person we thought did the murders, and this prompted a great deal of discussion and debate. Dudley revealed all (so to speak!) after dessert, and yes, the clues were there for those who could see them.
It was one of the most enjoyable evenings I have had for some time, and I thoroughly recommend it, not only to mystery buffs, but to anyone who doesn't mind letting his/her hair down once in a while.......

Dear Brian,
Thank you very much for providing us with tickets for your show at The Old Mill on January 22nd. It was a wonderful afternoon!
The three committee members that attended with me had not had the pleasure of seeing your group in action previously. They were all impressed and are looking forward to our event in April with great anticipation. Their comments extended from "The time flew" to "I am convinced everyone will have a great time."
This performance gave us the opportunity to see how we can fit in our Silent Auction and raffle. It also served as the inspiration for creative ideas for decorating.
Thank you again. I look forward to working with you.

Dear Brian,
Thank you very much for the terrific evening. You and your cast did a superlative job!
In spite of the difficulties with the accoustics and the number of people at the event, we have received nothing but praise for your presentation. Many have asked if this will be an annual event.
The end result of the event is that we will contribute almost $15,000 to the Dialysis Clinic at The Brantford General Hospital.
On behalf of everyone involved in the Gala, and particularly our guests who enjoyed your performance so much, thank you again.

Dear Brian,
Thank you so much for a very entertaining evening at our recent AXIS User Group for AAA/CAA automobile clubs. I had many enthusiastic comments from our customers, as well as our own staff on the success of "Murder at the Grand Hotel". In fact a number of people stated that the event was the best ever put on for their enjoyment at any of the AXIS User Meetings over the past 5 years.
Thank you also for generously providing tee-shirts for all the winners. That was an unexpected, but delightful surprise! We appreciate all you have done to make our evening successful.
Congratulations on a very funny, mysterious production and a very talented cast!

Being the second year in a row that you have entertained our customer user group, it was mentioned that this years' "The Mystery of the Maltese Blue Jay" was even more entertaining than last year.
Also ... thank you for making a special effort in sending me a t-shirt. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the dinner, but I am anxious to attend the next one!
We look forward to seeing you next year. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
J.H.

Dear Brian,
On behalf of everyone who was at the Millcroft Inn on Tuesday, Claudia and I want to thank you and the troop for "making" the evening. Everyone we spoke with raved about the Mystery event. The combination of your characters and the personalities of our people seemed to mesh really well. The "extras" who were part of the script had a ball, although I don't think your cast members need worry about any competition!
From the moment Lana walked into the River Room with her powder puff to Sam Spade's announcement of the killer, it was non-stop laughter and entertainment. The script was well thought out and the "zingers" directed at the Campbell people present were right on the mark.
All in all, it was an evening that will be talked about for a long time. We will be happy to recommend you to anyone looking for an entertaining evening event.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
C.M & C.R.

Brian,
We had a wonderful time. Even knowing what was going to happen didn't spoil our enjoyment of the evening. You have a very talented group to work with and we both envy you your job!
As well, we both want to know what your actors do at their day jobs!

Hello Brian,
Just a quick note to say Thank You & "Souper" Job on May 1st at the Old Mill for our Campbell team.
Everyone enjoyed the performance immensely. I'm still hearing comments-especially about Ginger! Please pass on our appreciation to the actors..
I, personally, was thrilled with the amount of personalized material you were able to incorporate into the act. I think our group was equally surprised and impressed.
I hope to be able to use your services again soon, however, in the meantime will certainly recommend you to anyone planning a function for personal or business use.

Dear Mr. Caws,
On behalf of the Canadian Association of Legal Support Staff and the Metropolitan Toronto Legal Secretaries Association; I would like to extend my warmest thanks to you and your staff for hosting such an enjoyable evening. Our convention was extremely successful and all of our delegates and guests who attended the murder mystery last week thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Once again, thank you for all of your assistance in the planning of this event and I look forward to perhaps dealing with you again in the future.
Yours very truly,

Dear Brian:
I must tell you that your troupe have certainly made the "most wanted" list of many of the guests at the CALA AGM. I fielded many requests for information on your group, (ran out of fliers early) and had to endure endless repetitions of catch phrases and punch lines. At least five people introduced themselves as "a leasing professional...a Canadian leasing professional" the next morning.
Thr praise was fulsome and well deserved. I was very impressed with the standards and flexibility of your cast. I believe it was Frank Benson a famous actor/manager who, when asked on his death bed, "Sir, you are dying, is it hard?" replied "Dying is easy. Comedy is hard." I can offer no greater compliment to your company than to say you played comedy (and largely improv comedy at that) and made it look easy.
On behalf of the board, the members, and myself, thank you very much for a very entertaining evening. I'm sure you will be hearing from many of the companies present when they are looking for enertainment.
Sincerely,
M.M.

Dear Brian,
Just a note to thank you and the Mysteriously Yours performers for an excellent and enjoyable show at the Vaughan Estates on June 5th.
Reviews from the CDSPI staff were raving. (or is that rave reviews?) Anyway, the compliments have been flooding in; they all had a great time. Several of them have inquired about the Royal York shows, so you may not have seen the last of us.
Thank you once again for the corporate discount and the Mysteriously Yours t-shirt. All the best.

Dear Brian,
On behalf of the Regional Board of Greater Toronto Commercial Banking I would like to thank you for for all your efforts in ensuring that our annual year-end Regional Celebration was such a resounding success! We are still receiving congratulatory responses from not only our invited guests, but also from the spouses and partners of our own employees.
The cast you supplied was fabulous and their interaction with our group was hilarious. Everyone appreciated their quick wit and some of the nicknames they came up with for various guests have now stuck!
Thank you again for making our evening celebration such a success. A first class event!

Dear Brian,
A note of appreciation for the terrific performances your group put on for our guests in Sudbury on February 7, 1990 and again in Timmins on March 5, 1990. The Mysteriously Yours cast's keen professionalism and comedy skills accounted for the difference between a humdrum travel trade reception and an evening they will remember for a long time. It was great to work with you and most of the same cast again this year. We will look forward to doing so again.

Dear Brian,
Well, the 1994 Winter Management Conference is now over, and from all accounts, the Sunday night Mystery night was a success! Your actors were able to get the delegates to participate, and from the level of noise in the room, they enjoyed it too!
It was a great pleasure to work with you, and in the end, given the cold, cold weather, staying at the Royal York for the event was the best choice all around.
Thanks again, Brian. Hope to work with you again soon.

Just a short note to let you and the cast know how pleased I was with the event you staged for the Canon Information Systems Group National Sales Meeting on Thursday, January 21.
When Laura Roe and I first discussed the idea of a "Murder Mystery" evening, our major concern was that everyone in the group-from senior corporate executives to secretaries-would feel part of the show, have a lot of fun and not feel "put-upon" by the ensemble.
We were also concerned about the the "corporate sensitivites" of some of our most senior executives, who attended the dinner. As it turns out, we needn't have been.
The evening was a success beyond our fondest hopes. The ensemble was on target, bright, engaging and hilarious. They provided us with, in the words of one Director "the most fun I've ever had at a Canon meeting". It was certainly a memorable evening.
Please pass along my warmest regards to the members of the cast, as well as my congratulations on a job well done. You can be assured that I will not hesitate to recommend your services to my peers.

A belated but sincere thanks to you and your cast for a terrific show at the Royal York Press Night last week. We all really enjoyed ourselves, and the show was great! Congratulations on a wonderful evening.
I heard Michael Lyons speaking about the show the next day on CFMX, and he gave it a really good review. You should benefit from the positive press.

The murder mystery at the Varley Art Gallery was stupendous. Our group found the tour of the gallery very interesting . The food provided by Unionville House was excellent - the hors d'oeuvres were out of the ordinary, the meal was delicious and the dessert was to die for. The Mysteriously Yours troupe had us in stitches throughout their performance.
I have received rave reviews from the attendees.

Brian,
The whole event worked out wonderfully! From everyone I spoke to attend enjoyed themselves immensely. They loved the food, ambience and the entertainment. The whole event went well without a glitch. Mind you I did get nervous at the beginning when I found out that you were planning to hold the same "Survivor Mystery" which we had last year (which we both were not aware of until that night) but even more surprisingly, I must admit I was very impressed by the quick turnaround of your team to provide another Mystery on such short notice. I commend you and your team for being so utterly professional in pulling it off, even in a crisis you and your team still managed to make me the talk of my social club.
We will definitely do it again next year with another Mystery that will knock their socks off. Right?

Thank you for you letter of June 14, 1993. The "Murder at the Grand Hotel" was enjoyed by the Medical Department of Ciba.
It added a delightful ending to a very busy day. The cast was terrific especially "Columbo".
I was surprised how the actors knew who had a sense of humor and who they cpuld embarrass (examples: Patrick, Bill and Sharon) considering I didn't provide any notes to you ahead of time.
Thanks again,

My husband and I would like to thank everyone connected to "Mysteriously Yours". You all helped to make the evening of January 15 a night that our 75 guests thoroughly enjoyed.
The actors and actresses went out of their way to chat with and include our most important guests-the bride and groom, best man and maid of honour. And my husband thoroughly enjoyed playing the role of Juliet.( He was good too!)
Several unforeseen glitches arose Saturday night and we were so pleased with everyones co-operation. Our request that my husband and I pay for our guests coat checking and liquor was handled with grace and courtesy. As I was trying to be sure our guests were happy, I appreciated this.
And the show! Well I think our favourite was Carumba. The show was terrific. Our guests ranged from 12 years of age to 84 years young and all ages in between. The entire group loved the show and we heard comments like "I've got to tell...about this."
Thank you for absolutely everything.

Dear Brian:
Just a brief note to let you and your "cast of characters" know how much all of us enjoyed your performance at our Christmas party last Friday evening.
We have had numerous enthusiastic comments about how successful a party it was and how much your people added to everyone's fun.
As for myself, being a surprised fiancee and widow in the space of just a few moments was quite a stupendous experience. And Chuck is still talking about the great jokes that "Philip Morris" did on him. He says he'll never (!) wear that tie again....
I enclose our Christmas card from last year to remind you of our own cast of characters and to wish you and your group a very merry Christmas and a terrific 1988 from the uplifting people at 888!

I can't even begin to tell you what a fabulous job you and your company put together. From the moment we walked in, our team and clientt were excited, relaxed and looking forward to an amazing evening. The incorporation of audience members, the murder, the murder and mystery, and to top it off, the food, were beyond anything we could ever have expected. People are still commenting on that evening and I must say thank you for all you excellent work. I look forward to your next mystery.

Dear Brian,
We wanted to thank you for a truly excellent performance at our "Over The Top" celebration last evening. Although ours is a fun group, it is doubtful if we have ever enjoyed such universal mirth. Certainly there was a steady explosion of belly laughs, not to mention weeping eyes. We had many comments about sides, sore from laughing, and one lady who said she laughed so much her face hurt. Perhaps it is fortunate we are in the health care business.
We were especially delighted with the performance of the players, particularly with their ability to remain In Character throughout the evening, and the way in which personal information was woven into the script.
Thank you once again and please be assured the word will go forward.

I just wanted to thank you and your staff for throwing such a wonderful Arthur Ellis Awards dinner for us on Thursday. No saying "I told you so" now, but we should have gone with you years ago. The food was lovely, your servers (especially William who kept bringing me nibbles, bless his liver and lights) were terrific, and the ambience was everything we could have asked for.

I believe everyone had fun. There was lots of participation and lots of laughter. Dear Brian,
On behalf of Deloitte & Touche, I would like to send you a word of special thanks for the excellent performance at our recent "Financial & Special Services Conference", held at the Royal York, November 14, 1992.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, right from the start at cocktail hour and during dinner. Your whole team of CASABLANCA actors and actresses were outstanding!.... Polly, Rick, Ingrid, Jacques, Victor, Joseph, Bella, and Sadie were all excellent, and they really made us laugh; we were in tears! I also received so many positive comments from our whole group on the evening's performance; especially from Bill Bakk and "Joyce DeWitt".
Thank you once again for making our evening such a success! I definitely would consider booking "Mysteriously Yours" again--an evening of sincere laughs and fun! Best Wishes for the Christmas Holidays and in the New Year.

Mysteriously Yours Murder Mystery

Medium 2 student newspaper Erindale Campus-U of T
Cliches often work their way into writing. Tried and true adjectives used to describe shows are awesome, excellent and killer. Death Enters The Firm really is a killer show.
The latest in a series of original murder mysteries from Mysteriously Yours, Death Enters the Firm is an interactive comedy whodunit. Guests have the option of both dinner and show or simply the show, but either way the talented cast serves up healthy helpings of both ham and red herring.
Unconventional in presentation, Death Enters the Firm consists of six verstatile actors as skilled at improve as they are at following a script. The audience is encouraged -and occasonally forced-to participate as information is continually revealed; eventually half of all the people present are viable suspects. The scenario: Lemon Lite, a popular soft drink company, was holding a company meeting to announce the promotion of one of the VP's to partner.
Suddenly, moments after the announcement, the new partner dropped dead. A Mountie-a Canadian Mountie at that-shocked the assembled by telling us it was murder. The schtick that followed was more innuendo and double entendre than investigation; even so, the intrepid investigator from Newfoundland moved closer to the truth.
The final touch to the investigation required that the audience fill out ballots with their solution: the Mountie took these into consideration and revealed his findings in a dramatic conclusion.

Dear Brian,
Congratulations on providing a very enjoyable evening of entertainment
for our guests at the Chimo Hotel last Tuesday.
The whole idea of a murder mystery evening was "something different" to offer during our regional sales training session. Not really knowing just what to expect, I was a little concerned at first about the reaction from some of our more sensitive guests, when your cast arrived at our cocktail hour and started their performance with such fervor and fun (I could have died for Leona's dress!) However, as the evening progressed and everyone relaxed, I realized how perceptive, prudent, and well-rehearsed your actors were. The personal details about our employees were very smoothly worked into the script, in good fun and in very good taste. I feel that our guests were very professionally entertained. The plot of "Merger, He Wrote!" was well carried, and kept everyone interested and laughing the entire evening. Should anyone ask me about casual dinner-theatre entertainment, I will definitely give my heartfelt recommendation that they invite the firm of Mysteriously Yours Inc. to handle their arrangements.
Sincerely yours,

Dear Brian,
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your entire cast for making our Sunday evening dinner event a great success.
While all of the activities during our Ford incentive trip (October 25,26, 27) were memorable (i.e. Phantom of the Opera, CN Tower, Casa Loma, Living Arts Centre, etc.) the Murder Mystery event that you and your staff conducted was among the most memorable events of our trip.
I look forward to hosting next year's 3rd Quarter incentive trip in Toronto and will definitely include Mysteriously Yours as part of it.
Thanks again for a great evening and please pass my thanks along to your entire staff.

Dear Brian,
Just a short note to thank you for an excellent afternoon of entertainment provided by Mysteriously Yours. Everyone is still talking about the fun they had and their favourite characters. The cast is extremely skilled in getting everyone to participate. Brian, I really appreciate the way you were able to introduce certain individuals as part of the plot. Not one person objected to their embarrassing situations being revealed. Please convey our appreciation to all who made our Christmas lunch an affair to remember.
Best wishes for a very Happy Holiday Season.

Dear Brian,
We have talked many times at the Canadian Marketplaces in Rochester about your show and I have wanted to see it as long as I've known about it.
Finally I knew I was going to be in Toronto long enough over Easter to plan an evening for the show.
This being our first murder mystery we didn't know quite what to expect and it was great fun. We listened very carefully, asked questions, examined the weapons... in short, did everything we could think of to be able to guess the murderer, the weapon, and the location. We guessed a part of it, but close does not get you a cigar. It was a humbling experience.
Thank you for the opportunity to see the show, Brian. I have a supply of your brochures and I will see that my Toronto bound clients are aware of Mysteriously Yours.
Wishing you continued success...
Sincerely,
L.B.

RE: My group visit to Toronto on Wednesday, December 1 for the performance of "Death Enters The Firm".
I spoke with each of my clients on the return bus trip to London. There was universal agreement that the entire trip was a great success and particularly the mystery presentation.
The setting was beautiful- The Old Mill in its Christmas splendour, luncheon was delicious and the theatrical presentation-extremely well-done and often hilarious.
Thanks to you and your company.
Best wishes for the future.-Please keep me informed re: future plans.

Dear Brian,
I apologize for not responding sooner to the successful evening at the Mansion on October 30, 1990. I am still receiving thank you notes, letters, and flowers from participants that evening expressing their enthusiasm. Everyone is talking about doing this again next year and hopefully making this an annual event. I could not have done this without your efficiency, professionalism, and unique and talented actors. Many of us have not laughed that hard in a long time and some expressed the evening as being the highlight of the entire year for them.
Thank you for all your help and patience and I am looking forward to seeing you all again next year.

I will surely keep in touch and will recommend you to anyone who is interested.

Re: Graphic Packaging Corporation Murder Mystery Production: January 8, 1996
Dear Brian,
I would like to express my appreciation to you and the entire cast of the Murder on Sunset Blvd. production, recently performed for our conference delegates at the Marriott Hotel.
It was virtually unanimous amongst the delegates that the production was truly outstanding. The cast really got members of our conferences involved in the proceedings which turned out to be hilarious.
The group problem solving methodology at each table to figure out "who done it" helped people to collaborate and build consensus around an issue. The delivery of the team conclusions via poem or song also produced some very creative and humerous outcomes. Thanks to Camille for organizing this methodology with short notice.
It was unfortunate that not all of our U.S. delegates could participate due to the massive blizzard which forced cancellation of their flights. Please call and let's discuss how to handle this situation.
All in all, a terrific job done by all. Please extend our hearty thanks to the cast for a memorable experience.
Regards,
R.B.

Dear Brian,
On behalf of everyone who attended our final banquet dinner. I want to thank you and the rest of the Mysteriously Yours team for a great evening of entertainment and murder!
All of the arrangements for our dinner ran smoothly; from making the reservations right on through until the "moment of truth". The Mysteriously Yours team was an enthusiastic crew who definitely added spirit to our evening.
Everyone talked and laughed about the event for the remainder of the night... a definite success!
Thank you again for contributing to a great evening.
Sincerely,

We all had a fantastic time at both presentations. Our guests thought the event was a great idea and had a lot of positive things to say. We set out to have a fund team/relationship building event with our partners in crime (no pun intended!) and I think the murder mystery was a great way to achieve that. Simply put, it was a blast!
At both of these events we had administrative staff, senior executives and presidents and everything in between that attended. The fact that they all had a terrific time shows that your presentations are great for all age groups and people from a variety of backgrounds.
The scripts are fantastic and very funny, but you're talented, versatile performers make the show and the experience spectacular!

This is just to let you know that I really enjoy your shows. The last one I saw was the 'Kiss of the E-Mail Female'...hilarious.

Dear Mr. Caws,
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed "The Hay Reform School Reunion"
that you hosted for us at the Old Mill on November 30. The evening received
rave reviews from the staff, many of whom considered it the best Hay
Christmas party to date. Your cast did an excellent job of bringing
out the fun side in people; we were surprised ourselves by the extent
of involvement some of our more conservative employees took.
Thanks again for a most entertaining evening.

Dear Mr. Caws,
Thank you for a wonderful and successful afternoon.
The Holiday Inn On King is always looking for great team building opportunities and events, and Mysteriously Yours was a smash. The entire staff voted your Mystery Dinner Theatre as one of the best in our series of events, and for a majority of the staff, this was the best to date.
Thanks again Brian to you and your staff for an afternoon of fun, adventure and team building. Your group made the event from start to finish, planning to execution, a planner's dream come true. I personnally never worked less and enjoyed an event more because you took care of everything.
If the Holiday Inn of King can be of any service to you and your group in the future, please do not hesitate to call.

On behalf of all attendants who thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the mystery of the Maltese Blue Jay on December 10, 1997. We wish to congratulate you and the performers for bringing the Hunt Club The Best Social Event Ever. There was not one person who didn't tell me how much they enjoyed a great night of fun & laughs, and the ultimate question when could we expect a return engagement?
Our biggest problem for a future engagement will be with our limited seating and who will get tickets and how do we handle those residents who will be extremely disappointed. Nice problem eh! Would you personally thank each performer who gave their best to a receptive audience and made our Annual Turkey Dinner the best ever.

Dear Brian,
Responding to your letter of December 21, 1998 I can excitedly and honestly say this year's presentation of the "Love Boat Mystery" exceeded last year's presentation (which was excellent). In every dialogue without exception those people who were fortunate enough to attend and enjoy both this year and last year's presentation confirmed the above.
Your cast and your organization were professionals to the highest degree and I congratulate and compliment all of you on behalf of the happy residents of the Hunt Club condominium, and those unfortunate residents who could not attend because of seating limitation.
We are looking forward to next year's presentation perhaps "The Y2K Files"?

Brian!
Your Murder Mystery was a "smashing success"! I received many compliments regarding the evening. The Royal York Hotel was impressive, the dinner and service were excellent.
The Murder Mystery itself is an excellent choice for a group as it appeals to everyone and our group was particularly impressed how you wove the guests into the action. Despite the large group, everyone felt part of the mystery. The evening capped a day of celebration and was well deserved recognition for a project that was both difficult and long. Your professionalism and excitement was fitting for IBM saying thank-you to our people and their families. I sincerely thank you for making the evening special.
I highly recommend you and your company.

Re: Friday November 20, 1992 Performance
We, the Social Committee of Johnson Insurance Limited, would like to thank you for providing us with an evening out that we will not soon forget.
We had what we consider to be the best seat in the house, right in front of the stage and right in between the two sets of doors that the actors entered through. Being right in the middle of the action was quite an experience for us all.
We all agreed that the presentation was incredible. The clues were given in such a way that "the killer" was not obvious to us, it could have been any of the actors.
We have all decided that we would like to go again sometime but with a larger group. Please keep us informed as to future mysteries that you will be performing.
Again thank you for putting on such a great show and keep up the good work!

Dear Brian,
I wanted to write and tell you and your cast how much everyone enjoyed the Murder Mystery you performed for us at the Embassy Suites Hotel on Saturday, April 13, 1996. Everyone is raving about it and still chuckling over some of the situations presented. You and your cast seem to stay current with today's news and including pertinent information and active participation from the group added to the hilarity. They especially thought your cast of actors and actresses were quick witted and well able to respond off the cuff to audience participation. This made it even more enjoyable. I am sure this is an evening that everyone will still be talking about for a long time to come.
I would highly recommend this form of entertainment to any group planning a social event. Thank you once again.

Just wanted to send along a brief note following our murder mystery evenin last night to express thanks from all those who attended. Feedback this morning was tremendously favourable and provided the right atmosphere for our annual post audit ceclebration. The actors were all very good and many in our group were impressed with the improv/personal nature of the show, particularly the spontaneity of the actors. Please pass on our thanks to all those involved in last night's show.
One thing we noticed about the show was that it put all in the audience on the same level, something that is important to do when you have people there from vice president down to accounting clerk. It might be the kind of event that would suit a Christmas office luncheon and we will give it some thought for later in 1994. Until then, thanks again.

Dear Brian,
I can't remember having such a good time at a dinner theatre before as we had last night. My husband and I love plays, theatre, etc. and we go every chance we get, but rarely do we attend a dinner theatre where we can't wait to go back.
The cast was excellent! The food was delicious! The whole evening was a class act!
We especially liked cocktails before dinner where we picked up some clues, as well as after dinner when we chatted with the actors/actresses who appeared to be as fine in person as they are in character. We had the priviledge of dining with "Nana Nina" and "Trudy". Nana didn't say much but Trudy was so convincing as the neurotic nurse it was incredible.
Our friends, the B.s (whom, by the way beat me out for the return visit) and ourselves were making plans to come back, before we even got out of the Hotel. Congratulations to you all!!

Thank you for your letter of July 19. I'm sorry it took me so long to reply.
I can certainly say everyone enjoyed my wife's birthday party and especially the Murder Mystery, which was, according to all accounts, the highlight of the evening. How can you beat a double shooting/murder at dinner with me as a suspect? And, everyone thought it was great the way you worked in Carolyn's love of short leather skirts, zippers and going topless on vacation. Andrew, my young son, was super happy to be profiled with his Nintendo expertise. Also, most of the guests later sent me thank you notes for including them in what everyone said was the most fun filled action packed evening of their life time.
The whol
